Qantas’ New Online Mall Strikes Deal With E-Tailers
Through Qantas’ Online Shopping Mall, consumers will now be able to earn up to 10 Qantas Points for every $1 spent at big pureplay and omnichannel retailers like The ICONIC, David Jones and Booktopia.
Qantas has launched a new shopping website that’s designed to help its frequent flyers earn and redeem points with some of Australia’s biggest retail brands. Sephora, ASOS and David Jones are among the brands that have partnered with the airline’s frequent flyer program to promote the site launch.
Consumers shopping through Qantas’ Online Mall will reportedly have access to the same prices and specials they would normally get by shopping directly with the retailers. However, by purchasing via the company’s updated portal, they will also have the opportunity to earn up to 10 Qantas points for every dollar they spend.
According to comparison site, Finder.com.au, over the next one to three weeks brands will be offering additional points for purchases, with a number of retailers offering double Qantas points.
David Jones, Booktopia and Adore Beauty are all on the lower end of the scale, offering one extra point per $1 dollar spent through the online mall, with Adore Beauty and David Jones both going from five points per $1 to six points, while Booktopia has jumped from three points to four.
It’s believed these extra points are a limited time offer to highlight Qantas’ new streamlined online shopping experience. While Qantas shopping has been around for a while now, the new website has been designed to make shopping with Qantas and its partners easier. In the past, consumers had to browse separate areas of the website to shop through partner brands. Now, they can do it from one, easy to navigate portal.
Qantas Card offers, including deals for MasterCard users and the 8,000 reward options available through Qantas’ Rewards Store will also be available on the new Qantas Online Shopping Mall.
